摘要
In this study, two different building models were designed, and the effect of integrating phase change material (PCM) into building walls on heat transfer rate and thermal performance was evaluated. Brick, one of the most common building materials, was chosen for comparative experimental analysis. The first building model using standard hollow brick was accepted as a reference. In the second model, brick one-third filled with PCM-impregnated vermiculite was used. In the analysis, it has been seen that a significant contribution can be made to energy savings by reducing the thermal loads consumed for cooling in summer and heating in winter in buildings with integrated PCM.
