摘要
·While bracing is common-place in the conservative management of thoracolumbar fractures, there is no evidence that it improves outcomes such as kyphotic deformity, pain or longer-term disability in acute traumatic stable vertebral fractures.·Current quality of evidence is poor. There is a need to examine the effect of bracing on patient related outcomes, cost effectiveness and cognitive outcomes.·Spinal dynamic orthoses may have a role in rehabilitative medicine in sub-acute fractures.
