Towards Automatic Deployment Process for Reconfigurable Industrial Edge Applications

Reconfiguration has attracted many attention of the industrial manufacture, which meets the trend of increasing demand for no downtime and customization. To realize the optimal deployment and migration in the reconfigurable industrial edge applications, many studies have proposed many advanced technologies. The reconfigurable architecture we proposed is based on the actual demand of nuclear power control system and takes the advantage of edge computing. The granularity of task is reduced from the application level to the function block level based on the IEC 61499, which can he realize the end-to-end controlling with enough flexibility. The random drift particle swarm optimization is incorporated into some industrial elements and the simulation will test its performance. The architecture we design can deploy the applications in the optimal scheme and handle the errors by migrating to avoid the downtime for the nuclear power control system.
