High Efficiency Metasurfaces with Independent Control of Phase, Amplitude, and Polarization

Metasurfaces that can simultaneously manipulate amplitude and phase have attracted great attention and have great application prospects due to their powerful beam steering capabilities. In order to overcome the problems that coupling in phase, amplitude and polarization and high sensitivity to angle of incidence, a three-layer double-split ring structural meta-atom is proposed in this paper. Numerical simulations verify the excellent performance of the atom. We also constructed a high-order Bessel beam generator using the unit, further demonstrating the atom's ability to manipulate phase and amplitude simultaneously and independently.
