摘要
Results from laboratory tests have shown that effective confining pressure and non-zero initial static shear stress can affect a soil's cyclic resistance ratio (CRR). To account for these effects, the factors K-sigma and K-alpha are used to modify the CRR, respectively. However, there is no consensus on the use of existing K-sigma and K-alpha models. To facilitate the validation of existing models and the development of new models, we compiled results from 63 published studies and organized them in a digital data set. The compiled data set contains 3,493 CSR vs. N (cyclic stress ratio vs. number of cycles) points, 960 CRR values, 231 K-sigma and 326 K-alpha values that span a wide range of soil type, relative density, initial stress, fines' content, and specimen preparation method. This data set greatly extends the amount of data available for evaluation and development of K-sigma and Ka models and is provided for use in next generation liquefaction (NGL) models.
