Synergistic Enhancement of Capacitance of Amorphous CuBHT/MoS2 Hybrids

A reasonable combination of different materials can producehybridswith significantly improved properties based on synergistic effects.Here, the highly conductive amorphous Cu3BHT (A-CuBHT)is grown on the surface of 1T(H) phase MoS2 by in situpolymerization. The hybrids display significantly improved electricalconductivity compared to that of the pristine MoS2. Moreover,the 1T phase in MoS2 is stabilized with the cooperationof A-CuBHT. In particular, the hybrid material containing 50 wt %A-CuBHT exhibits a specific capacitance of 329.9 F g(-1), which is 2.3 times that of pure 1T(H) phase MoS2 (143.7F g(-1)) and 1.5 times that of A-CuBHT (220.6 F g(-1)). In addition, the asymmetric supercapacitor deviceconstructed by the material exhibits a power density of 349.7 W kg(-1) and an energy density of 13.2 W h kg(-1).
