Panel Submission: Cyberinfrastructure for Government Innovations.

This panel introduces cyberinfrastructure as a critical element of strategic public initiatives; discusses novel innovations carried out by cyberinfrastructure initiatives; and explores the collaborative aspects of networked organizations using cyberinfrastructure for various purposes. The panel will discuss the gains from using cyberinfrastructure to provide insight into policy activities through modeling, forecasting, collaboration tools, and data management, as well as discussing the challenges of organizing highly technical virtual organizations for effective impact.
