摘要
Fast-timing, event-based camera systems offer a novel approach for scintillator-based applications such as radiographic imaging, spectroscopy, and scintillator characterization. While scintillator output detected by photomultiplier tubes allows for pulse shape discrimination, event-based cameras can capture both the spatial and temporal information of emission light from scintillators induced by particle interactions, thus enabling further discrimination and offering a superior resolution of the detection of the initial event. Simulation codes that are capable of tracking can provide detailed spatial and timing information for particles and secondaries. Measurement data from demonstration experiments have been collected and compared with simulation data to provide information about scintillators.
