Screening of apical membrane antigen-1 (AMA1), dense granule protein-7 (GRA7) and rhoptry protein-16 (ROP16) antigens for a potential vaccine candidate against Toxoplasma gondii for chickens

•A multiepitope vaccine containing epitopes from AMA1, GRA7 and ROP16 was designed.•The designed vaccine was further validated and assessed for physiochemical properties.•Molecular dynamics analyses confirmed the stability of the proposed vaccine.•The vaccine was successfully adapted and cloned into an expression system.•In silico simulation immune profiles showed promise in eliciting real-life host immune response.
