Hopping conduction of localized polarons with scaling behaviour in ceramic composite (YCrO3)1 - x - (CoFe1.6Cr0.4O4)x

摘要
•(YCrO3)1 - x- (CoFe1.6Cr0.4O4)x has been prepared via two-step method with no impurity peaks.•Formation of percolated network confirmed from the EDAX mapping of the samples.•The hopping range (R) of 3 – 6 nm suggests small polarons in the YCO - CFCO.•Scaling behaviour of conductivity plots showed temperature independent relaxation mechanism of ceramic composites.•Grain boundary resistances at fc showed transformation from insulating to a conducting phase.
