Fungal sporocarp productivity and diversity shaped by weather conditions in Pinus uncinata stands

•We analysed the fungal fructification in a high-importance treeline ecosystem.•Weather conditions drive fungal productivity and richness of fungal functional groups.•Ectomycorrhizal productivity and richness were higher in late summer.•Saprotrophs showed higher species richness values in mid-autumn.•Soil physicochemical properties influenced the sporocarp community composition.
