摘要

•A standard was developed to improve quantitative polymer analysis by LA-ICP-MS.•The elements were homogeneously distributed in three polymer matrices.•Reduced between run variation of chemical attribution signatures was observed.•Discrimination power between different classes of forensic objects was increased.
