摘要

•Freestanding Al-NVO@CC cathodes were controllably synthesized via a hydrothermal reaction.•The interlayer spacing of NVO was adjusted through the intercalation of Al3+.•The optimized Al-NVO@CC cathodes presented excellent electrochemical properties.•The high reversibility of Zn2+ insertion/extraction in Al-NVO@CC is demonstrated by ex-situ XRD, XPS, and TEM.
