摘要
Adjuvant treatment for high-risk endometrial carcinoma patients has yet to be fully standardized. Results from PORTEC-3 and GOG-258 present lingering questions regarding the benefit of chemotherapy (CT) alone and the type of radiation (RT) used in combination with CT; external beam radiation (EBRT) ± vaginal brachytherapy (VBRT). Our prior study submitted to the 2023 Annual Meeting on Women's Cancer compared survival outcomes using RT alone, CT alone or CT + RT in elderly high-risk endometrial cancer patients and reported the survival benefit of the combination. This observational study compared survival outcomes following adjuvant CT + VBRT vs. CT + EBRT in patients ≥70 years old with high-risk endometrial carcinoma.
