PCR154 Prevalence Use Trends of Hmg COA Reductase Inhibitors (STATIN) Among Adults with Type 2 Diabetes: National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017–2020 in the US

This study aims to assess the prevalence of statin use in people with type 2 diabetes overall and by select sociodemographics and social determinants of health (SDOH) factors. Cardiovascular-related mortality among patients with type 2 diabetes is 9.9%. Statins are indicated for primary and secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD), but there are no national studies evaluating the use among patients with type 2 diabetes in the US.
