•Fire resistance heat transfer of muti-layer floor assembly was studied.•Simplified models of the equivalent density and specific heat capacity was proposed.•A deep neural network method was used to predict the thermal conductivity.•Heat transfer of three different floor assemblies was discussed by FEM.
