Large-area preparation strategy and anti-erosion mechanism for morphology-material coupled biomimetic anti-erosion functional surface

A novel morphology-material coupled biomimetic anti-erosion surface was presented in this paper. The coupled biomimetic principle was utilized to design a biomimetic model inspired by the anti-erosion characteristics of Parabuthus transvaalicus and Tamarisk. Furthermore, a large-area preparation technology was developed based on the specific engineering requirements, enabling the accurate preparation of the morphology-material coupled biomimetic anti-erosion functional surface. The results of the sandblasting experiment demonstrated that the morphology-material coupled biomimetic anti-erosion functional surface enhanced the anti-erosion performance from various impact angles due to the synergistic effect of biomimetic surface morphology and multilayer material in different stages.
