Metal–organic framework-based electrocatalysts for acidic oxygen evolution reaction

摘要
The proton exchange membrane-based water electrolyzer in acidic electrolyte displays great advantages for hydrogen production through electrochemical overall water splitting.Metal–organic framework (MOF)-based materials have been extensively explored for electrochemical water oxidation due to the intrinsic characteristics of porous structure and unlimited tunability.The reasonable design of MOF-based electrocatalysts allows well-balanced activity and stability for acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER).The electrocatalytic activity and underlying mechanism for acidic OER are discussed, to elucidate the superiority of MOF-based materials.
