Interface chemistry of conductive crystalline porous thin films

Conductive crystalline porous materials (cCPMs) have recently experienced huge research interest. The thin films of cCPMs not only offer unique charge car-rier transport pathways within their highly ordered skeletons and grain boundaries but also facilitate mass transport of guest species, which aid in creating synergis-tic interfaces between cCPM and substrate materials. Herein, we aim to summa-rize and categorize the design strategies on cCPM thin films and then highlight the synergistic interface based on cCPM thin films. Specifically, this review organized into the following three parts: (i) the categories and design of cCPMs, (ii) the design and characterization of cCPM thin films and a proof-of-concept example of the synergistic interface, and (iii) the outlook as the conclusion.
