Design and Synthesis of High-Performance Planar Explosives and Solid Propellants with Tetrazole Moieties

A straightforwardsynthetic strategy for newly designed nitrogen-richplanar explosives and solid propellants is reported. These materialsexhibit high densities (1.69-1.95 g cm(-3)),high positive enthalpies of formation (approaching 1149.21 kJ mol(-1)), promising energetic properties (P = 26.36-33.78 GPa, D = 8258-9518m s(-1)), acceptable thermal stabilities (T (d) = 132-277 & DEG;C), good sensitivities(IS = 4-40 J, FS = 60-360 N) and excellent propulsiveperformance (Isp = 176.80-253.06 s).
