Prior analysis of the reconfigurable over-the-air chamber - a chamber designed for over-the-air testing of wireless devices - has not incorporated error in the currents when synthesizing fields incident on the device under test. This work incorporates these errors into the model relating currents to the synthesized fields and uses the analysis to quantify the impact of errors on the system performance. The analysis reveals that the signal-to-noise ratio required to achieve a certain level of error in the synthesized field increases with the number of antennas used for synthesis, with the observations suggesting that such chambers must be carefully designed to achieve the correct performance/complexity balance.
