摘要
For over fifty years, survival estimates have been a primary metric to demonstrate the impact that public and private investment in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) research and clinical care have achieved in improving the lives of people with CF. Survival statistics are often communicated to families when a diagnosis of CF is made and can set expectations people living with CF and their families. In an effort to more effectively communicate exactly what survival statistics mean, best practices and standardized approaches have been established to estimate and report survival statistics for the CF community [ [1] Sykes J.
