摘要

A novel Zn(II) binuclear complex with 4-hydroxyquinoline-2-carboxylic acid as a ligand (4hqc) has been prepared. Due to the presence of strong OH⋯O− hydrogen bond interactions (-55.0 kJ/mol to −62.5 kJ/mol) hydroxyl oxygen atom is deprotonated and uncoordinated to the Zn(II) cation.
