摘要
Purpose: Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common cause of articular disease and a leading cause of chronic pain and functional impairment around the world. Knee and hip osteoarthritis (KOA and HOA, respectively) have been known to impair multiple facets of functional ability, including the potential to perform activities of daily living and the capacity to maintain healthy levels of physical activity and exercise. Predisposing and intervening factors for disability in OA have been infrequently investigated in the past. The aim of this study was to evaluate factors associated with impaired physical function in patients with knee and hip osteoarthritis scheduled for total joint replacement.
