Control mechanisms of Os isotope anomalies of Co-rich crusts from the Line and Marcus–Wake seamounts areas

•The crust Os isotope anomalies exhibit regional and periodic characteristics.•The evolutions of crust Si and Al contents and aeolian dust input are consistent.•In the dust influencing areas, the crusts recorded the anomalies.•Adequate supply of terrigenous materials promoted the growth of the crusts.•Spatiotemporal palaeoceanographic evolution is important in crusts metallogeny.
