Experimental study on hydrophobic properties and corrosivity of laser cleaned 7075 aluminum alloy anodized film surface

•Laser cleaning technology can remove the anodic oxide film on 7075 aluminum alloy surface.•The effect of laser energy density on the surface morphology, composition and roughness of aluminum alloy after laser cleaning anodic oxide film was studied.•The effect of laser cleaning anodic oxide film on surface microhardness, wetting resistance and corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy was investigated.
