Au-Ag NPs embedded Sago Starch-Sodium Alginate composites: An investigation of structural, thermal and dielectric properties for applications in flexible electronic devices

•Five-fold enhancement of ε' with the addition of 1.5 wt% NPs in the host matrix (at 100 Hz) is observed.•The charge transport mechanism elucidates the formation of nano-capacitors with the insertion of NPs.•The increase in ε' with temperature is attributed to decrease in hopping potential barrier of NC films.•Young’s modulus and tensile strength of SS-SA increases with the addition of nanofiller.
