摘要

•A bilayer hierarchical HEA thin film was obtained by magnetron sputtering.•The HEA film shows high hardness, good modulus and excellent corrosion resistance.•The outer nano-lamellar layer shows high nano-hardness but low surface potential.•The multi-functional films were obtained by adjusting the structure hierarchy.
