•We provide a methodology for simulating the coordinated effects of mergers.•The model features price leadership behavior among set of firms.•The model can be calibrated with information that sometimes is available to antitrust authorities.•We explore how mergers, efficiencies, and divestitures affect prices through incentive compatibility constraints.
