Heat transport across multi-layered skin tissue experiencing short-pulse laser irradiation: Case of temperature-dependent thermal physical parameters

•Heat transport within a multi-layered skin tissue with variable physical properties is conducted.•A nonlinear model involved variable physical properties with space and temperature is proposed.•The relaxation mechanism rooted in local heat non-equilibrium effect has been considered.•The temperature-dependence on heat transport within multi-layered tissues has been considered.•The thermal damage has been inhibited with a shortened burn time when the temperature-dependence has been considered.
