Increasing trends of cervical conization with lymph node evaluation for fertility-sparing surgery in early cervical cancer

•Fertility-sparing surgery for cervical cancer was assessed to compare cervical conization and trachelectomy.•Performance of cervical conization and nodal evaluation increased from 43.5% to 58.4%.•Performance of cervical conization and sentinel lymph node biopsy alone increased from 0% to 14.2%.•7-year overall survival rates were similar between the two surgical approaches (98.9% vs 97.8%).
