摘要

•Cooling system for ARC-class reactors has been proposed.•Pumping power required to cool down the vacuum vessel is a fraction of the power produced.•Other passive heat transfer enhancement techniques can reduce the pumping power.•An alternative to twisted tapes with better performance is proposed and analysed.•Additional considerations on the vacuum vessel cooling systems are provided.
