The efficacy and tolerability of adjunctive brivaracetam for the treatment of adult epilepsy: An Australian multi-center retrospective real-world observational cohort study

•Real-world data for 228 Australian adult epilepsy patients treated with brivaracetam.•12-month 50% responder rate was 15.4 – 46.3% and seizure freedom rate was 7.9–24.6%•Early responses were durable, being maintained to later time points in 83–85% of patients.•Outcomes were similar in subgroups with highly drug-resistant epilepsy and patients previously exposed to levetiracetam.
