摘要

•A core-shell AgCl/carbon fiber cathode decorated with MXene nanosheets is designed.•DFT reveals that a heterostructure is formed between the MXene and Zn-coated AgCl.•Ultralong cycle life is realized by avoiding the undesired Ag migration.•The battery shows superior mechanical property and can work under harsh condition.
