摘要

•The large-scale synthesis of single atomic (Co, Fe, and Ni)-N-C catalyst reported.•HRTEM confirmed presence of single atomic M-Nx moieties in the catalysts.•The performance of Ni-N-C is superior to Co-N-C and Fe-N-C based on FE to CO.•The highest CO FE of 80% and TOF of 57,379 h−1 are achieved during CO2RR.
