Behavior and constitutive model of ultra-high-performance concrete under monotonic and cyclic tensile loading

•Monotonic and cyclic tensile tests on 35 UHPC dog-bones were conducted.•The envelope curves and failure patterns for UHPC under monotonic and cyclic loading are close.•A constitutive model for UHPC under monotonic and cyclic tensile loading was proposed, and implemented into OpenSees as a new material model.•The proposed constitutive model was verified by a comparison of numerical simulations and experimental results on UHPC beams under cyclic flexural loading.
