摘要

•Na2SO4, Na2CO3, and Na2SiO3 were used as activators in high volume fly ash binder.•Fly ash used for the binder synthesis was mechanically activated.•Increased alkalinity and accelerated hydration improved binder early-age properties.•Use of Na2SiO3 was the most suitable method of chemical activation of the binder.
