摘要

•Green process of isobutane oxidation to di-tert-butyl peroxide (DTBP) was proposed.•MoO3 was indicated to be selective catalyst for isobutane peroxidation to DTBP.•The structure–activity relationship of MoO3 for isobutane peroxidation was stated.•The reaction mechanism of isobutane peroxidation with O2 over MoO3 was uncovered.
