Metal-anchoring, metal oxidation-resistance, and electron transfer behavior of oxygen vacancy-rich TiO2 in supported noble metal catalyst for room temperature HCHO conversion

摘要
•Oxygen vacancy-rich TiO2 (VO-TiO2) with interactive electrons is prepared by chemical vapor condensation reaction.•The growth pattern of platinum and HCHO oxidation functionality is controlled by manipulation of TiO2 oxygen vacancy sites.•First-principles DFT calculations revealed charge transfer enhancement and oxidation resistant behavior of Pt/VO-TiO2.
