摘要

•Kinetic parameters for simultaneous HDS and HDN reactions are estimated over wide range of conditions.•HDN and HDS hydrogenation pathways are significantly affected by competition and inhibition effects•A catalyst with more hydrogenating power (NiMoP) is more capable of performing both HDN and HDS reactions simultaneously.•Catalyst hydrogenating power is associated with more promotion in the MoS2 crystals and formation of type II active sites.
