Nitrous oxide (N2O) is a low-risk gaseous anesthetic and N-methyl D-aspartate receptor antagonist discovered to have rapid anti-depressant properties. The primary objective of this study is to determine if N2O has anti-suicidal effects in subjects with treatment-resistant major depression (TRMD).
