139. PKCβii Expression and Interaction With RACK1 in Schizophrenia DLPFC

Intracellular trafficking disruption is a common finding in schizophrenia cortex and may be related to dysregulation of intracellular pH. Organellar sodium hydrogen exchangers (NHEs), key regulators of intracellular pH, have altered intracellular distribution and interactions with RACK1, which stabilizes organellar NHEs at the plasma membrane. As PKCβii mediates the interaction between RACK1 and organellar NHEs, we characterized expression of PKCβii and its interaction with RACK1 in schizophrenia DLPFC.
