Distinct neural effects of threat versus deprivation emerge by childhood (McLaughlin et al., 2019), but little data is available in infancy. Withdrawn and negative parenting may represent dimensionalized indices of early deprivation and threat. This study assesses the neural correlates of withdrawn and negative parenting in infancy.
