摘要
•We provide a comprehensive overview of the central and peripheral immune landscape of adult and aged male mice.•We found that CD8+ T cells expressing programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) and tissue-resident memory CD8+ T cells accumulate in the aged mouse brain.•We establish immune correlation networks between peripheral and central immune cells, and found that these networks are enriched for associations between circulating CD8+ T cells and brain-derived immune cells in aged mice.•We show that exposure to age-associated systemic factors induces the expansion of memory T cells in the periphery and CD8+ T cells in the white matter.
