Major psychiatric disorders such as major depressive disorder (MDD), bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and alcohol use disorder affect approximately 25% of the population annually; however, their treatments are effective in only a subset of the patients, highlighting a pressing need for more effective treatments.
