Sensing characterization of an amorphous PDMS/Ecoflex blend composites with an improved interfacial bonding and rubbing performance

•A new hybrid filler was prepared based on non-covalent functionalization using cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant.•The polymer blend matrix had an excellent mechanical and tribological performance.•Effective dispersion of the hybrid filler leading to outstanding and stable electrical signal.•The CNT/CB/PE composite exhibits great strain sensitivity and strong deformation recovery ability to tension, friction, and wear.•The CNT/CB/PE composite Shows great capability in detecting varioushuman motions.
