摘要

•We investigated serum Vitamin B12 levels in the early detection of MMA.•Serum VitB12 can be used as a screening biomarker for MMA in children.•Compared with controls, the serum levels of VitB12 were increased in the MMA group.•Serum VitB12 was related to pathophysiological processes and organ damage of MMA.•High VitB12 levels are a risk factor for MMA symptoms, indicating a poor prognosis.
