Incidental Finding of Intervertebral Disc Herniation With Increased F-18-FAPI-04 Uptake in a Healthy Volunteer

A 44-year-old healthy volunteer received an 18F-FAPI-04 scan for a normal biodistribution and dosimetry study. An incidental finding of an increased uptake of the radiotracer at the L4/5 subarticular disc herniation was noted, and a subsequent MRI scan confirmed the degenerative nature of the lesion.
