摘要
•Defect-free compression and tensile specimens from a wide range of triply periodic minimal surface lattices are fabricated from stainless steel using powder bed fusion.•The new design of tensile specimens prevents premature failure at the solid-lattice interface and enables characterization of lattices under tension.•The Fischer lattice structure exhibits the highest strength in tension and compression.•The mechanical behavior of lattices is stretching dominated.•The metallic lattice structures display superior corrosion properties compared to the solid specimens.
