Reconciling the control of the native invasive Jacobaea aquatica and ecosystem multifunctionality in wet grasslands

•grassland management index’ was developed to quantify different cutting regimes.•A high intensity index positively correlated with grassland productivity.•However, abundance of Jacobaea aquatica also increased with management intensity.•Management intensity influenced intermediate to low levels of service supply.•Intermediate control of J. aquatica still allows for grassland multifunctionality.
